I think you'd need to have a single realm. So delete your 'Work' tiddler. (Find it under More, TW, More, Tags, Realm). Save and reload and you've got a single realm called Personal. You could then rename Personal to something else if you wanted to.
As for areas, just ignore them. And delete any that you have already.
