Hey Alex, 

Are you sure that there is only one "copy" of the code snippet in your 
non-working files?  What I remembered about the TiddlySpot case was that 
there were multiple entries of the code snippet referencing TiddlySaver, 
and they were conflicting with each other.  By removing one of them like 
you described, it allowed the code to work again.  

Make sure that there is only ONE instance of the code snippet in your TW 
file, and that will hopefully do it for you.  :)

p.s. mGSD-E might be a special case, I think David S played around with the 
saving mechanism, but the fix should be the same:  If it's not saving on 
local editing, get TiddlySaver.jar onto your computer, and make sure 
there's code in each specific TW file calling TiddlySaver.jar.
