gtg syncs with a number of other task tracking systems, and so we'd need
to verify that '.' is acceptable in tag names for most other task
trackers before including support for it here. I suspect it may not be
permitted in some important ones, in which case we may have to mark this
as a wontfix.

Unable to use dots in tags

Status in Getting Things GNOME!: Incomplete
Bug description:
It is really nice to use domain names as a tags. But GTG interprets dots as
separators.
For example, if I try to add the tag @launchpad.net GTG creates the tag
@launchpad and ".net" is missed...
Please exclude dots from separators list, or (even better) add an ability to
add tags in quotes, for example: @"launchpad.net" so the whole phrase in quotes
becomes a tag.
Thanx a lot!
