It's probably telling that there's been no further discussion on this
point.  I gather people generally have gotten accustomed to 'Dismiss'?
I listed out some alternatives (none of which I favor over Dismiss) but
I guess none of them struck anyone's fancy?

Maybe we should wontfix this bug?

Bug description:
Rename the 'Dismiss' function in the UI to 'Archive', like Gmail - this better 
reflects what it actually does.

When I saw the Dismiss button, I assumed that this would be for dismissing 
pop-up reminders of some sort, not archiving tasks - which is what it actually 
does. At present this encourages people to use 'Delete' when then really wanted 
'Archive'.

The concept of 'Archiving' things is well understood by people in general, 
because it's a real life idiom applied to physical paperwork, etc... It's also 
a big part of GMail's functionality & interface, so is well tested and 
supported in the real world for information management applications.
