I believe you pasted the wrong link.
GTG tries to import the libraries for inactive plugins when you open the 
preferences window to see if you have them installed (so that it can notify you 
if you don't).

Bug description:
Hi!

It's easy to reproduce. 

1. Install libchamplain 0.4.6 (last stable libchamplain version)
2. start gtg
3. select Edit -> Preferences

You'll got:

/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/champlain.so: 
Undefined symbol "champlain_add_constants"

And gtg is now crashed. 

As far i know libchamplain used only in geolocation plugin (that i dont use and 
keep deisabled), so it should not crash the whole app imho. 

If i delete libchamplain, problem is gone.
