I even think the performance with filters is actually not that bad (still worth having a test for!)
Some areas that where gtg does appear to need some performance tuning attention: 1. When lots of taskeditor windows are visible (esp. if they have substantial text in them) it seems gtg gets bogged down. 2. Operations on a selection of tasks. For instance, select 20 tasks and reschedule them for tomorrow; it can take a noticeable amount of time (10 sec? not sure). 3. Toggling WorkView off, when there are lots of tasks with start_dates in the future. -- performance test https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/583211 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Gtg contributors, which is subscribed to Getting Things GNOME!. Status in Getting Things GNOME!: Triaged Bug description: We need a performance test that add many tasks, start gtg with many tasks and with some filter already applied. Then, we need to make a graph of the result of that test for every revision of GTG since the big refactoring so we know where are the performances problems. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~gtg Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~gtg More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
