For helping to debug #1, I added a parameter to gtg_stress_test that allows adding random text to tasks. So you can do something like:
1. scripts/debug.sh 2. scripts/gtg_stress_test 1 10000 which adds one task with 10,000 words. Now try resizing the task browser. Oomph! If you want to really thrash your system, try: gtg_stress_test 10 10000 Warning: be prepared to kill -9 gtg! -- performance test https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/583211 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Gtg contributors, which is subscribed to Getting Things GNOME!. Status in Getting Things GNOME!: Triaged Bug description: We need a performance test that add many tasks, start gtg with many tasks and with some filter already applied. Then, we need to make a graph of the result of that test for every revision of GTG since the big refactoring so we know where are the performances problems. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~gtg Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~gtg More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
