New question #156086 on Getting Things GNOME!:
https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/gtg/+question/156086

Hi all,

Firstly let me say that GTG seems like an AWSOME piece of software. Flexible
enough so I can set it up with the task structure/priorities etc I need, but no
so complicated that it can't be easily used. Well done!

The only thing that I can't see how to do easily is have it stay in sync
between two remove sites (work/home).

I realise I could do this by syncing the files, but reading the wiki it says
that you should shut down gtg when doing that, ie it would like NEW files being
dropped into the gtg directory while it's running. I guess I can script a
shutdown/sync files/restart in the background, but is there a better way I'm
not thinking of? I'd just rther leave it running all the time, that's all.

Some sort of lock file mechanism would be good so the underlying files could be
safely replaced and gtg re-load them would be great. Can't tink of any other
way given that the data is written automatically, and there is no load/save
buttons etc.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Cheers, Michael.
