Hi François,
I've made changes in the config files for browser settings and task settings,
but they are backward compatible.
AFAIK, no changes have been made in XML format of task saves.
Can you please post the contents of your ~.config/gtg/gtg.conf and
~/.config/gtg/tasks.conf ? (They don't contain any personal data)
I'll run it on my computer to find out whether the problem you're facing is
because of the config files
