Matthias' point was that GPL Xara code cannot be integrated into the GTK+ mainline, because that would force GTK+ to be released under the GPL. Ditto for Cairo. That doesn't stop someone from forking GTK+/Cairo and releasing a Xara-enabled package under the GPL, but that means maintaining what will likely be a very different version (of Cairo, at least). > This discussion might be pointless on gtk-devel, but we are > on gtk-app-devel. Personally, I find this discussion OT for gtk-app-devel, period, but nobody asked me ^_~. -brian -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (MingW32) iD8DBQFDVUDi6XyW6VEeAnsRAv9SAKC654M6H8x+/yrw0djZEpcO51uarwCcDzfQ sGuV/STubobtmjiYKH1S4oI= =fwsU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ gtk-app-devel-list mailing list gtk-app-devel-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gtk-app-devel-list
