GtkGis is a widget for Gtk+ to embed basic GIS functionalities
(viewing maps, pan, zoom, etc.) inside Gtk+ programs
GtkGis requires GooCanvas[1] and Gdal[2]
this first version is a release only for the announce, beacause the
only thing that you can do is load shape files base on point or lines
or polygons, without the possibility to influence the result displayed
yet the project site is http://sourceforge.net/projects/gtkgis/
PS: not, it doesn't want to be a clone of the others desktop gis like
qgis, gvsig, etc.
