The basic rule is - something might go in GLib if used by 2 (preferably 3-4 or more) components. If you think some code you wrote is useful, and it meets the basic prerequisites (is LGPLv2+, matches GLib coding style, is actually useful), feel free to post about it and see if application/component developers are interested.
