You're going to hate me for not really having much information, but I thought
it best to post this message anyway.

Today, the status window on gtk-gnutella (CVS from about 3 days ago)
was showing "0/xx downloads" although there was one download active.

Therefore, as expected, when the download stopped, gtk-gnutella aborted
with the following assertion failure :

** ERROR **: file downloads.c: line 1267 (download_move_to_list): assertion failed: 
(dl_active >= 0 && dl_establishing >= 0)
aborting...
search_init

There was nothing else of relevence that I could see in the stderr/stdout
logfile, but I do have it if anyone wants it..

BTW: would it be a good idea to timestamp stderr/stdout messages ?
