Quoting [EMAIL PROTECTED] from ml.softs.gtk-gnutella.devel:
:Also, is anyone maintaining the GTK2 interface? If no one is doing it,
:I would be happy to step up to the plate. I am somewhat unfamiliar with
:the internals of the application but am willing to bring myself up to
:speed if a GTK2 frontend maintainer is needed.

Noone is maintaining it currently.

Some knowledge about the internals is necessary, in particular the
property system and how settings_gui.c ties everything up. But I
think it's something that can be learned since there are numerous
examples to reverse-engineer.

If you work on the source code, think about dropping by on #gtk-gnutella
on irc.freenode.net. Most of the devs are in Europe, but we stay up late
in the evening...

:PS: Good choice with metaconfig. autoconf has been the biggest pain in
:my ass for the longest time. It is about time a few developers revolted!

The biggest problem is that autoconf became the GNU standard. I'm
responsible for it, indirectly. And I blame myself for not having had
Usenet access back in 1991 to advertise the work I was doing on
metaconfig.

I wish I could go back in time and whisper at the ear of the autoconf
author: "don't even think about that".

Metaconfig: the power to think otherwise. :-)
