Just thought I'd write to let you know that the sha1 verification crashes I was experiencing were probably related to a hard drive failure my main system just experienced. (The file entries, though present, weren't readable for a majority of app.s, including cp...)
Though this relieves the primary point of the error report, there may be something to look into here, as a few app.s (mplayer and a few audio players) *were* able to get at the data (could play the file). Once I get my system back up and recover what I can, I might be able to provide the cores to find exactly where the crash happened. (I should know more about that tomorrow, after I get a new disk.)
