Maybe that's the reason why you couldn't make auto* do what you wanted it to do... Of course you're right when you say that auto* is far from being perfect (to say the least), but for our projects it has proven to be extremely usefull (./configure even works correctly under Windoze using mingw). Sometimes I had to dig very deep into the docs but at last it worked. I can't imagine GTK-Gnutella being more complicated than the gcc-compiler, so there MUST be a way to use auto*... Anyway, the decision is made, the changes are done, so it's a little late for this discussion IMHO ;-) As long as metaconfig works as intended it's fine with me ;-) And since gtk-gnutella is a very nice and stable application I don't care that much for the auto-configuration tools used ;-) kind regards Martin Preuss - -- LibChipcard - http://www.libchipcard.de OpenHBCI - http://www.openhbci.de -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/hWoniVxhnDyjV4MRAppvAJ9FUF0wfzwuBJT/iCwKQtoDZvpkeACgvZoe ZpiXqgEei1cL+KuhZn2Rkmo= =kFKc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
