I converted the original and proposed icons to 48x48, 32x32, 24x24, and 16x16 images and posted them at: http://www3.telus.net/juncus/tmp/icons/icons.html Using imagemagick e.g.: convert -resize 48x48 -quality 100 -antialias icon3_full.png icon3_48x48.png I think I still prefer the original, perhaps because it has more connections and the "lighting" and thinner lines seem to allow the scaling to work well. I've tried making icons in the past and found that it's incredibly difficult to make something that simple that is clear and looks good, so kudos to Mike. I'm not too concerned about the precise icon, though. I just think of it as a handy visual mnenomic, not as a corporate statement. As you can see, anything like a GG inside a cube is not gonna happen at these sizes. Consider that a 16x16 image (mini-icon/favicon size) has only 256 pixels to work with. I've seen many commercial sites with poor favicons. -- Murphy ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
