You are right, the logo can only be designed after the name is found.
But the name will stay gtk-gnutella for quite a while, and perhaps it would 
also be fine to have a good logo matching that temporary name.

Once it is time for 1.0, we can still find a _really_ good name and design a 
_really_ good logo (I already have a serious idea for that). But until then, 
having a better logo for the current gtk-gnutella cannot hurt, I think.
