Hi all,

Since 'round about 2 days ago, my gnutella connection has gone dead.

I'm pretty sure my ISP must be blocking, as 'ipfw show' shows that no
packets are getting in. (LAN doesn't block at all...)

To note, I already changed the listening port, but the problem persists.

The meat of it: though I'll likely switch ISP's unless I get them to change
the policy, I would like to help hack some code to subvert their blocking
measures. I think some sort of proxying (encryption) could work.
Though it would depend on a new protocol (or whatever), I think the
idea is worth pursuing.

(This hinges on the outgoing header being allowed, which seems to be
the case here, as some feedback gets through from the gnet. Most
notably, downloads seem to work; though, they must be pushed, as
no packets come through on the listening port...)

If anyone is interested in subverting this or has suggestions to get
around the blocking, please share

Best regards,
Clayton
