One project that has been on my mind is to write a simple tray applet which would monitor gtkg using the dbus interface. This would not work if gtkg was running on another machine, but it would still be useful to run gtkg without the whole interface code with its added performance hit, while keeping some kind of progress close at hand. To be actually useful gtkg should probably emit some more dbus events, but I think adding those should be driven by the development of such an applet. This would also be a nice project to contribute for someone not familiar with C or without the time to dive into the gtkg source code. Typical languages for such an applet could be C, python, or mono. Hans
