This warning comes from Gtk+ not Gtk-Gnutella itself. It seems you
have or had installed a Gtk+ theme engine called "galaxy" and it
cannot be found any longer. Do you have any ~/.gtkrc-2.0* files or
some GTK_* enviroment variables set? I assume some window managers,
desktop environments or whatever modifies the default Gtk+
configuration. This must be broken somehow.

This is either caused by Gtk+ 2.8.9 or your Gtk+ configuration.
Gtk-Gnutella never explicitely used any colors there.
