I have seen crashes on closing a search.  I found that clearing the
search before closing it *seemed* to help prevent this problem.  Also,
it seems to happen if I have left GTKG unattended for some time under
heavy load.  Upon return, there was a lot of swapping when I closed
these searches.

Since then, I have installed additional RAM and I never swap.
However, I also have observed that passive searches don't seem to
scale well.  If you have several passive searches open, this can load
your machine and *seems* to help make this occur.

Sorry, I cann't find the stack trace now.  I did post it to the list.
It seemed to be deep in some GTK2 marshaling functions.
