I have seen crashes on closing a search. I found that clearing the search before closing it *seemed* to help prevent this problem. Also, it seems to happen if I have left GTKG unattended for some time under heavy load. Upon return, there was a lot of swapping when I closed these searches. Since then, I have installed additional RAM and I never swap. However, I also have observed that passive searches don't seem to scale well. If you have several passive searches open, this can load your machine and *seems* to help make this occur. Sorry, I cann't find the stack trace now. I did post it to the list. It seemed to be deep in some GTK2 marshaling functions. Fwiw, Bill Pringlemeir. ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
