The only reason Configure asks for yacc is because developers need to be able to have a working compiler compiler for generating said files initially. It is true that as a end-user, you don't really care. Maybe we could hack the yacc.U unit to check for the existance of the .package file at the root of the distribution. If you're a developer, that file will be present since it is required by metaconfig and jmake. For non-developers, the question would be hidden.
