It resolves to 216.34.181.65. This looks plausible both by reverse DNS and by traceroute. Also, TCP port 443 is correctly open. Unfortunately, I don't know how to get more diagnostic information out of svn about _why_ the connection failed. It didn's say the host does not exist in DNS. It may well be a problem with the server's SSL certificate.
