Actually you can build it under windows using cygwin and native
windows port of GTK library.
it takes some time to edit makefiles, configure and make
successfully, but you should be able to get it working almost
natively (you will need to pack small cygwin1.dll and native GTK+
dll in your installer - like GIMP does).
it has been already done, but i guess it can be done even with
smaller dependancy on cygwin (when you will use more native
libraries). google it.
