What happens in the case of "Extension present but is broken/wonky"?
The IBM AIX 4.3.3 X server has the MIT-SHM extension, but it seems to
be wierd/broken - Imlib-based applications (including Enlightenment) seem
to be unable to actually *use* it. I suspect it's just Imlib failing to
zero out some field the IBM server checks that is left unchecked in other
servers, or some similar issue - *some* things are able to use MIT-SHM
just fine.
I have to admit not knowing if GTK is getting it right or not - I don't
get any warning printf's, and things seem to work. THis is the first I've
heard of GTK using MIT-SHM.
