icon visible

I have a toolbar with both icons, and label in each button, if i press no
sensitive button i get two different situations:
        a) gtk stock icons, like clear, cut, paste....., works ok: both icon
an label get insensitive, 
        b) buttons with my own icons, the lagel gets insensitive but icons
remains sensitive.
Any body knows why????
