Hello :-)
need some advice here so that I could install some packages. atk-1.0.1 pango-1.0.1 now I installed all additional stuff in /usr/local/lib yet when I run ./configure in /atk-1.0.1 it stops with a error: checking for GLIB - version >= 2.0.0... no *** Could not run GLIB test program, checking why... *** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the *** exact error that occured. This usually means GLIB was incorrectly installed *** or that you have moved GLIB since it was installed. In the latter case, you *** may want to edit the pkg-config script: /usr/bin/pkg-config how could I solve this problem, also even though I am using Debian please regard me as a _newbie_ and therefore I humbly beg for mercy :-) do I need to run some programn or script to update the libraries which are installed on this PC? thanks :-) LinuxUser aka Josef Oswald [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- If you ever get a e-mail, snail-letter, or fax asking you to transfer lots of money, read all about the Nigerian Advance-fee money-scam at: http://www.fraudaid.com/Scamspeak/NigerianScams.htm http://www.scamorama.com/ http://www.scamwatch.com/ http://www.mosquitonet.com/~gcn/nigescam.htm http://www.web-police.org/ _______________________________________________ gtk-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gtk-list
