Could someone give me some tips on how to draw onto GtkLayout's background? For some reason, my expose handler says that the layout's bin_window is NULL. I looked through the gtk sourcecode, and it appears that bin_window gets setup in the gtk_layou_realize() call. Is there some common mistake I'm missing?
