Hello, Owen! > A) Patches for GLib should be filed in bugzilla.gnome.org > (this is bug #73308, so best to just attach it there, I'm > not really sure a patch is that useful for this one, but > it can't hurt.) Instructions are in the Glib README.
Sorry, I misread it. I have put some reasoning on Bugzilla. In short, if you are forced to release 1.2.11 (e.g. for legal or security reasons), this fix is not something I would like you to forget about. Keep the patch in the 1.2 branch - it belongs there. > B) It's quite unlikely that we'll ever release GLib-1.2.11. > mc should be ported to GLib-2.x. (Should be trival assuming > you've dumped gmc.) mc is already ported. However, glib-1.2 is easier to compile on some "pure UNIX" platforms (no need to compile pkgconfig first), so glib-1.2 support will stay for a while. Perhaps mc should default to glib-2.0 if it's present - I'll have a look. -- Regards, Pavel Roskin _______________________________________________ gtk-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gtk-list
