Something else. It's apparent that you haven't really gone through the tutorials on GTK, particularly with regards to creating GUIs programmatically at runtime. I suggest you review the tutorial (www.gtk.org) contained in GTK's documentation. It explains and even has examples of how to pack widgets into a vbox or hbox.
