Here's a link to the OpenWrt config for building it from the official, main, x.org sources: https://dev.openwrt.org/browser/packages/Xorg/xorg/xserver/xorg-kdrive/Makefile?rev=20168 I'm thinking you could use their configure string and get it built for your embedded device pretty easily. I believe you have to also build X11 client libs (xcb and gtk?).
