[gtk-list] gtk_ctree_clear

I'd like to use gtk_ctree_clear to remove all nodes of a ctree as defined in: 
        gtk+-1.2.6/docs/html/gtk.html

but I get:
        undefined reference to `gtk_ctree_clear'

Is this a valid function, or should I be using something else?
