[gtk-list] GtkScrolledWindow doesn't seem to scroll correctly after it is resized or ...

the GtkText it surrounds is emptied.  Is there a resize signal I must
supply a callback for?  Can anyone point me in the way of an example of
how to do this. 

Additionally, I want some text in the GtkText to be in a variety of
color, I know I must use a GdkColor widget, but the syntax is unclear, do
I need to make a colormap as well?
