Is this NetEzine stuff somehow tied to the gtk-list, or are these just spammers?

Subject: [gtk-list] GtkTree expanded/collapsed settingHow does one set the
expanded/collapsed setting on a GtkTreeItem manually?
I've created a short test GTK application using Glade and C, and I manually
add items to the tree (all files/dirs in the root directory in fact), but when
it displays, I see the submenus displayed, however the top-level item has the
"+" pixmap displayed. ~3KB JPEG attached describing it.

This is on GTK/GDK/GLib 1.2.7 and Glade 0.5.7, under XFree86 3.3.6
