Not a puzzle to you perhaps.

I see nothing in pangocoretext.h to tell me it's a private header. It
defines the function pango_core_text_font_get_ctfont() which is listed in
the pango online manual at
https://developer.gnome.org/pango/stable/pango-CoreText-Fonts.html, which I
am looking to make use of, and which does not appear to be included in any
other header in the pango directory. Also missing from the pango directory
are pangocairo-coretext.h and pangocairo-coretextfont.h

Not a puzzle at all. It's a private header with no additional public API so
it doesn't get installed.
