This was not good example, because it shows only introspectable matches.

example with non-introspectable matches: grep -a1 set_simple 
/usr/share/gir-1.0/Gst*-1.0.gir

check xml results:
"c:identifier" attribute contains function name.
if you see attribute: introspectable = "0", than this method isn't available in 
Perl via Glib::Object::Introspection
