+1 I am very much in favour of this... If I can help to make it release-worthy with my little skills, I will gladly contribute to complete the module! I think at the moment most important would be to implement the classes listed her (https://developer.gnome.org/gio/stable/application.html) So perhaps (if completing the whole Gio classes is too much work) another idea could be, first to create a seperated Gio::Application module?
