As far as I know, there are no advanced tutorials. Fortunately, Gtk# is "just" a thin layer on top of GTK, so most of the tutorials for C-style GTK should help.
Of course you'll have to change the syntax, and I agree that is not easy, and usually not straight foreward. But this is the only way I found to continue... Some time ago I sent an email to this list with the places where I found more info, if you search the archive I'm sure you can dig it up.
