I've been reading about GTK-Wimp.
http://gtk-wimp.sourceforge.net/
It's a 'Windows impersonator' for GTK which has now been integrated into GTK+ as the 'MS-Windows Engine'. The screenshots show GTK apps under Windows which look like native Windows apps. The fonts, colours and widgets are all spot on.
Gtk-sharp apps running in Windows don't look like native apps at the moment. I don't know anything about GTK rendering engines. I wonder how hard it would be to use this rendering engine with gtk-sharp in Windows.
