I am a windows developer looking to release my first mono/GTK# program for Linux. I don't want to use distro specific packages (e.g. rpm .deb) I have read the Mono deployment guidelines at http://www.mono-project.com/Guidelines:Application_Deployment but I feel that some of the steps are unnecessary for such a small program. Please correct me if I am mistake but the only dependencies should be mono and GTK#? I have kept strictly to those two libraries. Does this mean I could deploy the binary program unlike most other Linux programing methods? I have looked at Autopackage and Bitrock does anyone have any input concerning these or any other packaging systems.
If I am heading in the wrong direction please point me in the correct direction. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/My-first-mono-program-deployment-tf3674583.html#a10267765 Sent from the Mono - Gtk# mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Gtk-sharp-list maillist - [email protected] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/gtk-sharp-list
