Hi Martin, I'm also a GTK# newbie and working on the same thing. So this could be the blind leading the blind, but here we go anyway: For the list of files, I used a Gtk.NodeView. Overall it works well, but on the downside, NodeView reserves some space for an icon that I'm not currently using. In the long run, my left nav column may become a VBox containing the NodeView and other things. You can put whatever you want inside a VBox. Both of these are described if you poke around http://www.mono-project.com/GtkSharpTutorials I hope that helps, -Chuck _______________________________________________ Gtk-sharp-list maillist - [email protected] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/gtk-sharp-list
