I've implemented this function now, which required some substantial
refactoring in the Pango modules but nothing that is visible from the
outside. I had to write a function that marshals the returned attributes
to Haskell which was quite a bit of code. As a side-effect it is now also
possible to get the current attributes of a Layout.
