Hi Jeremy,

thank you very much for your contribution. However, I'm not sure if
we're ready for a cabalized cairo yet. Since Cabal can't deal with the
complicated build system of Gtk2Hs yet, creating a Cabal package either
means that we need to use the cabalized cairo when we build Gtk2Hs or we
keep the current cairo within Gtk2Hs which means we need to maintain two
cairo packages.

What is the reason that you cabalized cairo? Was it just curiosity or do
you need to use cairo independently of Gtk2Hs?
