If you have time to write a small map for what should I look for in gtk2hs files, I'll give some time to it. The way I usually configure my cabal packages such c2hs-gtk2hs beeing provided would not ensure c2hs executable file is actually seen in your PATH. But I'll try to check that also. (Also, do you have a pointer to that first attempt to write a cabal package for gtk2hs? I wasn't able to find it on the list.)
