Hmm, it sounds like a reasonable explanation. Pixbuf's counter unref correctly, only explanation is GC no chance to run without '-threaded' flags.
John, can you bulid new patch that replace all GObject with no floating reference (not just Pixbuf) with your wrapNewGObject? Then i can apply it.
