I guess you already know that you need to pass
-Wl,--enable-runtime-pseudo-reloc to the linker to avoid this?

I already heard some people complaining that this causes their
applications to crash. I wonder if it is really that linker switch that
causes this behavior. There might happen several other weird things on
Windows. My application links and works fine with it, though.
