I'm out of ideas, I'm afraid. Obviously something is different in your
environment, but I can't see what. You may have to just use the tarballs.

Sorry, I thought I had release glibmm 2.10.5. I'm doing that now.
Although the latest gtkmm 2.6 checks that you have the latest glibmm 2.6, it
can't check that you have the latest glibmm 2.8 or glibmm 2.10. This is one of
the problems of introducing a new feature in a stable branch, but the embedded
people need it because they are stuck on GTK+ 2.6 for now.
Please reopen if this doesn't fix it.
