Proposed patch
This patch renames the enum value to FILE_TYPE_NOT_KNOWN, but keeps the old
value if it is not already defined for compatibility.

Nice, I wasn't aware of that search/replace trick in _WRAP_ENUM.
I wonder how many of these sorts of conflicts we're going to run into. Are we
sure that FILE_TYPE_NOT_KNOWN is not going to conflict with some other header?
I'm a little reluctant to change too many of these names for every broken
header that #defines a common symbol without a namespace, but I guess this is a
pretty important one...

It works on Windows when including both windows.h and giomm.h (which is what I
tested). codesearch.google.com suggests that FILE_TYPE_NOT_KNOWN is only used
in a single other project, and is properly namespaced there. Although that's
not a guarantee, it's still a good hint that we are rather safe with
FILE_TYPE_NOT_KNOWN.

OK, so in order to get it to work on windows, the user will still need to
#undef FILE_TYPE_UNKNOWN, right? Because you didn't remove that symbol. Do we
want to add a workaround like the one I added to error.hg? (save and undefine
the symbol at the beginning of the header and restore it at the end so that the
program will at least compile?)
