Hi guys, Thanks for your comments. It was not my purpose to start a debate around the Autotools, which obviously are still used by lots of developpers. But, I also hear some programmers talking about how improve this set because its learning and manage. In fact, I'm not so an expert in computer science to judge the Autotools, but I qualified them as "obsolete" because, a part from SCons, I know (the existence of) projects like PMK (Pre Make Kit)[1] and TOC (The Other ./Configure)[2] that search to improve them. Thanks a lot. I like C++/GTKmm programming very much and you helped a lot. S.
